what are we on about???

Club dj's love good remixes. It gives the club a good vibe. But for you and I, remixes are sometimes too long. At REMIXED, RE-EDITED & RELEASED we will post excellent edits of remixes of tracks that are not too long to listen to in your car or your mp3 player. You're guaranteed not to find these anywhere else unless it's been taken from here. If you have any requests, feel free - although I may need the original remix to work from. If you object to your work being tampered with and posted here, let me know and I'll see if I can twist your arm...

roisin murphy - let me know (kk's negro vibe edit)

Off her new album "Overpowered", this throwback to the early '80's is the best thing she's done since her vocals on the Boris Dlugosch remixed "Sing it Back" for Moloko. Fast becoming one of my favourite dance tracks for the year. Joey Negro's Original Vibe remix was the original full length for this edit.

shayne ward - if that's ok with you (kk's moto blanco edit)

I don't like Shayne Ward. I thought the popular stuff from his first album was too poppy, too commercial, too bubblegum. Bt he's surprised me with his ability to impersonate other artists on his new double-sided single. He pulls off Ne-yo with consummate ease on "No, u hang up" and on "if that's ok with you", he does a good Akon-cum-every R'n'B singer. Both songs are catchy and popular and Moto & Blanco do exactly what you'd expect them to do with this remix. The full length runs at just over 10 minutes, and no matter how much you like Shayne Ward or Moto & Blanco, that's just way too long. Enjoy the edit....

alexander o'neal & bianca lindgren - saturday love (kk's grant nelson re-edit)

This song was originally done in the mid-to-late '80's by Alexander o'Neal and Cherrelle. Bianca Lindgren has remade the track with Alex's original vocals and the Grant Nelson remix has a very Freemason's feel to it. Edited for your listening pleasure, one of my fave tracks of the moment. Great if you like funky house.

james blunt - 1973 (kk's beedle edit)

If you haven't heard the Ashley Beedle remix of this track, you're truly missing out. Deep soulful house transforms this into a modern classic, and a surefire addition to my top 20 remixes of the year. I'm not really a big James Blunt fan, but after hearing this, I am an Ashley Beedle fan.

se:sa & sharon phillips - like this, like that (kk's re-edit)

I just HAD to post this cos it's my fave dance track of the moment. SE:SA, for those that don't know, are actually Syke & Sugarstarr. I just love the sampled Deee-lite - Groove is in the heart sample.

samim - heater (kk's vandalism edit)

This track is turning into the biggest dance anthem of the year. I must admit that after all these months it still hasn't grabbed me. Vandalism's remix, though, does breathe life into this track. Enjoy this slice....

50 cent & justin timberlake - ayo technology (kk's chew-fu refixed edit)

There have been many remixes of this track already, but this is by far the best. Chew-fu does his thing on this and while it's not too different to the full length remix, it is trimmed down for your convenience. One of the hottest tracks of 2007. Download it, unless you're tired of using technology.....
